What is Wild Politics
My name is Andrey, I am the administrator and (practically) the only developer of the Wild Politics browser game.
In this post I would like to introduce you to my project, as well as answer any of your questions in the comments. For me, this is the first post on the site, therefore, I will be grateful if you indicate any shortcomings in the maintenance of this page, including in terms of local “unofficial” rules, but helping people get acquainted with the material more comfortable.
Let’s start with a formal description of the project:
Wild Politics is an economic and political simulator.
Players, uniting in the party, as well as speaking on their own, compete with each other for influence in various areas of the game world – politics, economics, the media, as well as the military sphere.
I heard other definitions from the players themselves, such as the “network of virtual states playing according to unified rules”, or “specific social network”.
Each of these definitions has the right to life, because WP for each has its own.
Someone cannot imagine games without coordination of a dozen players, distributing tasks to each of them, and controlling successes in the Excel plate.

The entire game card is divided into regions. The region is the smallest unit of the game card. Each region can be the capital of the state, be a province in its composition, or to be an independent territory, before the formation of a new country.

The players themselves are free to determine the boundaries of their countries, their heraldry, the form of government (within the framework of existing mechanics actively supplemented), as well as the course of domestic and foreign policy – attitude to their own citizens, players consisting of a “party in power” or an opposition, the management of taxes, the formation of weapons reserves (and suddenly?), building a dialogue with neighbors.
To participate in the political life of states, you will need to create a party, or join the existing:
No one limits the player in the right to a single game, but literally everything goes to a new level, after joining the team.
If, before entering the party, the player’s political life in the project was limited to the right to give his vote for the party or candidate in the elections, then after entry, he himself can already move to the parliament of his state, become the legislator or leader of the country.
If, without a party, the economy of the player is “he himself got, he himself processed and sold,” then industry and trade in the party are a teamwork case. Players agree on the division of labor and profits, advise each other the most profitable places for the extraction of raw materials, even lend each other, to develop a character and business.
All this makes the game in the party much more attractive than alone. Moreover, active parties, recently, began to compete with each other in a weekly rating, and receive prize, in the form of game gold:
Players, on behalf of their party “who reached” to the authorities in parliament, receive deputy places in it, and the opportunity to manage the life of their state.
But, with great power, great responsibility comes – we must not forget to maintain reserves of raw materials in the regions, conducting resource exploration, as well as developing the country’s medicine and defense capabilities, building up territories.
Role component WP
There are those who brought their team to a completely new level in all the variety of games of the game – the level of Rolepley.
These players do not just interact with each other, for the sake of a common goal set. They have a hierarchy – it can be a division into feuds, under the leadership of the king, or, the team can be a large clan of the orcs, professing the religion of the total war. They can have a concept art of uniforms, weapons, awards. They have a background, and the role -playing “justification” of their complaints to various territories of the game. Entire dynasties were born and died in their details described by Laura. Moreover, most of the characters described can be real players who have taken on these roles.
Often, they lead the author’s group, where they publish reports on their successes issued in the same style. “Orders on awards” are also published there, and the events of the internal and foreign policy of the team are highlighted.
Everything described is not a mandatory part of the game, but noticeably embellifies it, and is also an element of rallying players. Often, in the team that leads its Rolepley, you can consist without joining it, but at the same time you risk not advanced along the career ladder of such a team.
How much you need ropley in the game – to solve only you yourself.
The actual management of the country occurs through the parliament, which can be headed by the president:
The state needs resources for life. A lot of resources. And each of the countries is free to solve this problem in its own way: someone supports the minimum standard of living, not very burdening their runs with taxes, someone put 10% of taxes and forgot, and some enter the obligatory weekly requisitions.
Moreover, it will not even be much your wallet to interest those in power, how much your warehouses reserves. The construction of the Great Empire requires steel, aluminum, plastic, and, of course, the blood of the economy – oil.
All this is mined, processed and transported by players, and states can touch all this economic flow by organizing the purchase of goods from the population.
If the resources are not enough, then you can fight for them:
The war goes between the regions, and will declare its state through the parliament, but the confrontation itself falls on the shoulders of the players participating in it. Each of the players interested in the seizure or defense of the territories can choose the side for which he will fight and send the troops to help her.
The troops have some combat power expressed in the “damage”. Damage can be increased by the power of the player, as well as some of his perks. At the end of the battle, the damage indicators of both sides are compared. Where more – he won.
In the event of the victory of the attackers, players who own warehouses in the captured territory lose 75% of the reserves in them – 50% gets the invader, another 25% – burning. Thus, military operations reduce the “reservoir” of the economy, and heal it.
For the losers, of course, this is not a consolation – with the loss of the region, they acquire an occasion to return and take revenge. So, the history of the world Wild Politics gets its continuation.
